Google: Merchant Center's new initiative for car dealers to be found on the search engine Google is expanding its search tools to provide its users with various useful solutions to satisfy their needs. One of these is represented by Google Merchant Center which allows online shop owners to insert their available products and thus integrate their online shop with Google. This solution allows users to be found much more easily on the top search bar, increasing their chances of conversion. A novelty regarding the use of Google Merchant Center is represented by the automotive market . In fact, given the significant increase in online car user searches, Big G has seen fit to also include car adverts in its Merchant Center. In this way car dealers will be able to insert their products on the Merchant Center tab, complete with photo, description, location, brand, model, price and mileage.
If the user is interested, upon clicking he will be redirected to the site Find List corresponding to the search to contact the dealer for more information. Vehicle ads on Search will appear, as mentioned, on the top bar of user searches, maximizing the chances of being contacted by the interested party. As explained by Google: “For example, if someone searches for a 2019 SUV, they will see several options of vehicles they can purchase nearby, along with images and inventory information such as location, make, model, price and mileage. Once they select a car, the ad will direct them to the vehicle description page on your website, where they can fill out an inquiry form or get the dealer's contact information.” google merchant center car photo To use the new placement, auto advertisers will need to create a vehicle inventory data feed and connect it through Google's Merchant Center to power their ads and ensure they stay up to date.
A novelty that is currently only available for the American market A great novelty that aims to enhance a continually growing trend , represented by online searches carried out by users who want to buy a car and who use Google to find information and dealers in their area. Google says advertisers who integrated their existing search campaigns with its new vehicle ads saw an average 25% increase in conversions during the beta test. The service is currently available only for American users . We therefore need to wait to see it here too. But we're sure it won't take long.
